Happy Halloween!

Yeah, ok I know I'm almost a week late with that, but I did want to share some pictures from that frightful night! First off - everyone who knows me knows that I love carving pumpkins. And I love doing the really challenging ones that you find in those pumpkin carving kits that come with all the tools you need to carve neat things. I've done witches, scorpions, haunted castles, spiders, etc. so this year was no exception - a pirate ship.

And of course a picture of my firefighter!

That is an awesome jack-o-lantern! We had one little pumpkin this year (and some sad looking ghosts in the trees), but I'm going to blame it on wedding planning (everything that doesn't get done lately gets blamed on wedding planning!)

And, best of all, of course, is your little firefighter! My brother is on the volunteer fire department in your town... should I check to see if they're recruiting? :)

so CUTE!!! and that is one impressive pumpkin.

i confess that while we had a million pumpkins and goards, the best i did this year was decorate one for the office party and really, that didn't come close to anything you've described. (i covered it in glue and then covered it in beads -- but i also made cupcakes, so i think that makes up for it!)
